A man’s home is his castle, where he feels safe. Family is the world, where people raise and educate children. The artillery shelling by official Kiev invaded people’s lives. It destroys housing, takes the most precious, the lives of relatives, away. At the same time, people who live in the territory controlled by Ukraine are subject to political persecution. These reasons force people to leave their homes. The Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic is always ready to help people in a difficult life situation.
It is worth noting that living conditions in Temporary Accommodation Centres (TACs) are constantly improving. Yesterday, on April 12, one of the TACs was renovated by efforts of the Ombudsman’s Office, with the support of “Maksimal” Public Youth Organization, and with the help of volunteers from the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. Residents of the TAC also took active participation in the repair. Besides, a library was opened at the TAC in order to improve the quality of cultural leisure, in agreement with the Ombudsman’s Office. Krupskaya library provided it with books.
