Today, on August 19, on the Savior of the Apple Feast Day, the Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office, supported by Director of the Botanical Garden, Svetlana Prikhodko, together with volunteer psychologists, organized an event for people affected by the armed conflict.
“On August 19, a great Orthodox holiday is celebrated – Feast of the Transfiguration, popularly known as the Savior of the Apple Feast Day. On this day people usually bring joy and grace to each other. Today we managed to organize a small family holiday for people who suffered as a result of the undeclared war and for their physically challenged children. As part of the event, families had the opportunity to walk around the picturesque Botanical Garden. Pottery classes and horseback riding were organized for children,” said the Chief Administrator of the Ombudsman’s Office Dmitriy Popov.
