The POW exchange between the Republics and Ukraine may take place in late September provided that Ukraine timely completes all necessary procedures, said DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova.
“We hope that the Ukrainian side fulfils its obligations and by late September we carry out the prisoner exchange. Kiev has no right to fail the agreements, as every number is in a fact a person, who has his/her family, mother, father, and children. We gave them hope and they await the liberation of their loved ones,” Morozova said.
DPR Ombudsman called on Kiev not to politicize the exchange process.
As reported earlier today, DPR representatives at the Minsk talks expect the Ukrainian side to update them on preparedness to the prisoner exchange. At the Minsk meeting on August 21, Donetsk said it was ready to start the exchange procedure.
