The Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR Daria Morozova gave a speech in the air of “Cometa” radio. She spoke about the destructive position of the Ukrainian authorities, the terrible situation at the checkpoints and the case in Mayorsk. Her speech was part of the project “It is said that …”.

Daria Morozova expressed her deep condolences to the relatives and friends of those killed in the Tu-154 air crash above the Black Sea and told about the activities of Dr. Lisa (Yelizaveta Glinka) in Donbass.

“It is impossible to overestimate the help extended by Elizaveta Petrovna to the hundreds of our young people who were injured by the SSU,” said Daria Vasilievna. “This amazing fragile woman has a big heart, she will always remain in the memory of the people of Donbass.”

The Human Rights Ombudsman also commented Kiev’s fulfillment of its obligations under the Minsk agreements regarding the exchange of prisoners:

“Summing up at the end of the year, I want to say that almost nothing has changed. Negative point – the exchange of prisoners did not happen. Positive – at last Ukrainian negotiators joined to processing of the lists, and three weeks ago for the first time Kiev expressed a desire to transfer 15 people as a gesture of “goodwill”, supposedly in order to unblock the exchange process. However, the technical part of the issue was not discussed. We have no results yet” – said Daria Morozova.

As for the incident at the checkpoint in Mayorsk, where the Ukrainian border guard opened fire and killed people, the Ombudsman said: “Transport and economic blockade and obligation to obtain electronic passes – these are a violation of human rights. There are statistics of numerous violations committed by Ukrainian border guards in Mariupol, and this remains unpunished. This issue will be raised in Minsk. The issue of forcibly displaced persons, corruption in the cause of IDP registration and pensions will also be concerned. ”
