On 9 September, the DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova and staff of the Ombudsman Office planted trees in the Alley of Honour at the foot of the legendary Saur-Mogila height. The event was devoted to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Donbass Liberation from German-fascist invaders.
Residents of our region joined the action. In the memory of those soldiers who shed blood for Donbass in 1943 and those who fought for our freedom in 2014, they planted 75 thujas as a symbol of eternal life for courage and eternal glory of the heroes. Dozens of seedlings symbolize eternal memory of the feat and the courage of defenders of Donetsk land.
“Thousands of soldiers of the Soviet Army laid down their lives here. Our relatives and loved ones died here, as well. The feat of those people cannot be forgotten. May the memory of them live forever in our hearts, and the trees planted in gratitude to those people become the symbol of Victory,” said Daria Morozova.
